The Quality Dial AI Providers Won't Show You
Anthropic says it never reduces model quality for demand, time of day, or server load. xAI's own staff say Grok's limits "can fluctuate daily." Google's own help page says it changes limits during high demand "to maintain a high standard of quality." All three can be true at once, because nobody outside these companies can actually measure what a model delivers hour to hour. That's not a PR problem. It's a regulatory gap, and it should close.
